iPhone 3gs 4.0.1 jailbroken stuck at reset

I have a iPhone 3gs at firmware 4.0.1 and it was jailbroken. When I tried to reset the phone by removing all personal information. The phone was stuck on the white apple screen. Any way to resolve the problem without updating the firmware to 4.1?

Rule #1 NEVER reset a jailbroken iPhone.

Now that we got that out of the way, Do you know if SHSH blobs were saved in Cydia?
