is it just me or does it take forever to download an update for iphone software?:\

it varies, sometimes its slow, sometimes it fast. but the last 2 updates, 4.1 and 4.0 were both slow

How fast is your Internet speed? The iOS updates are fairly heavy files in the 250-350 range..and if you try to download the day of the release it's obviously going to be slow with the number of people downloading at the same time..
