Anywhere to order an unlocked iPhone 4?

I already have an iPhone 4, so I don't need one. But I had a friend ask me if there was somewhere he could order an unlocked iPhone 4. Does anyone know if that's possible? He lives in Charlotte, NC, obviously in the US.

For that kind of money you could almost afford to fly to Canada (where they sell them unlocked) and buy one here ($700-800).
