it's driving me crazy! I am trying to make a slideshow but I can not figure the timing out for transition of pictures and type of trans, I will use. Does anyone have some simply to understand instructions they could PM me or know of a good book to read to understand imovie and iphoto? When you see this I think it's gonna be a hit! ;)

Just use iPhoto. Put all the pictures you want in an album, create slideshow, select the music, in settings have it set to fit music, It will do all of the timing

The pictures need to be in sequence or it will not give me the effect I want. I have the music I need a few more photos How many is to many

In keynote 2 you can set the presentations resolution to either 800x600 or 1024x768 (and can change that for individual slides).

The lower resolution would probably work better for the smaller images.
You can then export the presentation as almost anything (movie, flash animation etc).

But if you go to your slideshow and select the 'settings' button, then you can switch off the 'Scale photos to fill screen' option, which would leave your smaller images sharp.
