adobe premiere 6.5 problems

im using premiere 6.5 and for some reason my transitions are all jerky. i have rendered the whole project, which is only a few clips. I also try to export the project and the whole application shuts down. Can someone give me some help and steer me around the program.

it might be that you dont have the recommended hardware spesifications. I know when i run premier 6.5 on my iBook G4 it does run slow and sometimes does close the application but then i think thats only because I'm running too many programs and am not giving it enough RAM. anyways hope this might help otherwise i suggest you contact adobe
