I have an Emac G4 1.42ghz 1gig ram 80gb HDD

What video and Photo editing software can I get that will run well and be powerful?

Anything under CS5 will work.

You didn't mention the most crucial bit of info, what OS version you are running.

But presuming you are on Tiger or Leopard, you should be able to use a wide variety of photo editors, including GraphicConverter, iPhoto, Photoshop CS3 or CS4, Photoshop Elements 6 (maybe 8, I'm not sure), and many others.
