Tiger: What happened to /Developer directory?

I'm running 10.4 and using a Unix guide written in 2003 for Jaguar ("Unix for Mac OS X", Matisse Enzer). The book makes somewhat frequent use of the /Developer/Tools directory and I was just curious what happened to it in Tiger. Also, does anyone know of a good faq that goes over the changes made to Darwin since 10.2 (such as default shell)? Thanks.

You need to install the Developers Tools with XCode to get the Developer directory
