UK iPhone 4 pre order question

Pre ordered the iPhone 4, 16gb last week. Apple took the £499 off my card then 2 days later it was back in. Phoned them and they said because it was still on pre order for another week they release the funds back onto the card and charge again when they ship the iPhone. It's been a week since I pre ordered. Had the confirmation email and have tracked it on the apple site. It says it's still due for delivery on the 24th, but it hasn't been shipped yet or the card still aint been charged. Are there any other people from the UK who are experiencing this? Has anyone actually had an email saying their iphone has been shipped?
