Is anyone planning on getting a bumper for their 4G? I am thinking of getting the pink one. I am wondering how much Apple will charge for them.
Does anyone know how much they will be?

Excuse me AT&T has not upgraded to 4G yet!!!

So ya $39.99 is a bit high for a rubber band that goes around the phone!!!
It beats getting it all scratched up until incase comes out with a good case.

Haha even if it was upgraded to 4G the phone would still be called iPhone 4. ;]

I'm going to wait until I get my hands on the phone in the store. Personally, I think the bumpers are lame. And $29!? that's ridiculous! They're practically rubber bands!

I think Apple is worried about the durability of the new iPhone. It has glass on both sides and no bezel to protect the corners when dropped. They released the Bumpers (at $29, does nobody watch the keynote?) because they saw this potential for damage. Same with the iPad. They are great inventions, but they aren't damage-proof, yet.

Is any electronic device really damage-proof? Sure, some are more damage-prone than others due to quality of materials, but the iPhone 4 is made out of some hella strong glass used on helicopters and high-speed trains. It's also very scratch resistant, according to Jobs. I think they know what they're doing with the the band for $29... It protects the edges, because compared to the glass it's more likely to get messed up there, especially when dropped (the edge will hit the ground first, then it'll land flat, so the band does its job). Honestly, though, I MAY pick it up, but I'm more likely going to wait for a Speck case. The Speck case on my 15" Macbook Pro is full of win. :)

If I get the white iPhone this time like i'm leaning torwards i'm going to get the blue bumper. UK colors and it looks really good in the close-up pics posted at Gizmodo.

If I get black then either black or grey.
