Hi,

I need to combine two images on my macbook pro. I have tried pixlemator, seashore, and iphoto. But none of them let me open an image on top of another like Paint on windows. Is there a free program or a program with a demo that I can do this with?

Photoshop will and I believe you can download a trial version but not 100 percent certain.

Gimp?

Hi,

Gimp will do this - use the menu option file / open as layers, and select all the files you want to combine (then adjust blend methods, opacity etc as needed).

Gimp can be found here:

GIMP on OS X

If you already have Pixelmator, it can definitely do this.
