Apple scam

I have an apple macbook unibody with apple care, the macbook has three faults(loud fan, hinge, and battery) and usually apple will send me a new one after 3 faults. I was wondering what anyone thinks would happen, if when they send me my new one, I send in something of equal size and weight instead of the old one, and keep both laptops. When apple contacts me about this I'll tell them someone must have switched it in the mail. What do you think apple will do? Should I try it?

Apple will bill you for the new macbook. Its not even worth the effort to what you are suggesting.

That is fraud and against the law. Why would you want to steal that other Mac from them? That is what it is you will would be doing.
