Hey guys,
Recently I received a faulty iPhone 3G. I opened it up to have a look, and in doing so, the clip in which a cable (labeled with an orange number three?) was broken:Grimmace:. Does anyone know if this could be fixed? If so, how would I go about getting this done?

Thanks,

Did you break the ribbon cable or just the latch on #3 ? If it was the cable you can get that fixed if the latch is broken you might be SOL. I have heard of people breaking the latch and using tape/glue combo to get that #3 connector back in place.

Just broke the latch. By the way, what is SOL?

if it's only the latch you should be fine,You need to slide the ribbon back into the holder and then swiftly close the phone back up. so it stays in place. It might take a few tries to get the ribbon to stay.

Good luck

SOL = <A derogatory term for feces, that starts with an 'S'> Out of Luck.

:D

Thanks that was a better answer than I was gonna give.

For a Price...

1. Try Apple Support.... this will be expensive, because you opened the phone.

2. Third Parties (google iPhone repair)... risky, but so was trying your own repair.

LOL
