Who are you internet sharing with?

I have a 17 inch Macbook pro. Since I live in a college dorm sometimes I share my internet to my friends computers when they come over to study. I know that I can password protect my network but I was wondering if I could see every computer that was connected to my network the same way that you could see the computers connected to a router. Thanks
