Did a fresh install of Windows XP. I can "see" the Mac from the PC, grab files from the Mac's desktop, etc., but have lost my connection to the PC from the Mac that was working before the fresh install of XP on the PC.
Suggestions?
Thanks.
Well now, I have just managed to get the PC's Shared Documents from the Mac, but still not the PC's desktop, which I did have before. I see the destop.ini file that would show the desktop of the PC as before, but how do you open a .ini file? What application or utility would do that?
Got it all back--for now. I can access my PC's desktop, and for the Mac, visa versa.
But I know from experience that these things are elusive. Next time I turn on the Mac, my network places will be gone. How do you "save" them?
