Running Software from a hard drive

I currently have cracked version of Logic and Final Cut Pro on my MBP... tomorrow I need to hand my mac to the apple store for a new logic board to be fitted and I was thinking of removing them before I hand it in.

I have two questions:

Should I leave the cracked software on my MBP whilst it's being serviced?

Can I run the applications directly from the back ups on my External Hard Drive?

Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Umm, delete them from both hardrives?

And piracy is not encouraged here and no doubt the thread will be slammed shut!

Yep, there will be no help here for pirated software.
