Evony: investigating the game everyone loves to hate

That article is great. Details everything from how lame their stupid softcore porn ads are to the web of lawyers, employees, lack of true ownership, and copyright infringement.

Great stuff. If you're sick of seeing the dang ads too, read that.

I think this is just an online pyramid scheme to make money. And should be declared illegeal. I read the whole article and it seems there is illegeal dealings on top of illegeal dealings happening there all with a massive legal team present to sue anyone who speaks up about them.

This reminds me of the Mafia or a Communist dictator. As they both use the same strong arm tactics as the makers of this thing. (I can't call it a game, as I feel that anything this illegeal should not be called a game).

And I am ashamed to know that the Australian (New South Wales) courts did not laugh these idiots out of court when they tried to sue for deformation. Makes me feel bad to be an Australian when people can use our court system for their illegeal dealings.

And that is a link information about the court case which is an American based company (makers of evony) suing a British man (lived all his life in the UK and never been to Australia) for deformation in Sydney Australia using Australian courts.

Well, you can train yourself to ignore ads, but it's kind of hard when it's a giant rack staring you in the face. The ads are all over most tech-y news sites.

Ya those ads bother me alot. It doesn't have anything to do with the game, and anyone with some common sense see it as a desperate ploy for attention. But then there are those who fail to see this and fall right in... tis a shame :(
