Hi,

I'm trying to add a second monitor to my MacBook Pro by connecting it with a View Sonic PC monitor.

I have a Firewire port and what I think is a DV-out port on the Mac, and a DVI port on the PC. Trouble is, I have no cable to make this connection happen. Can anybody suggest if this cable exists (Google doesn't turn up any results), or if there's a better way to go about this?

Thanks

The port on your MBP is called a mini displayport (MDP).

You will a MDP to DVI adapter and a DVI cable (if indeed the port on your monitor is a DVI port).

Adapter from Apple. DVI cable from your favorite cable store.

Or, just a MDP to DVI cable in the length you need from monoprice.
