Question. Just started using Entourage and ran into a situation that exposes my newbness! I want to create a folder, no problem there, and then copy certain folders into the new one I created. Note, COPY being the operative word. I know I can copy individual messages, however I have a bunch of folders I want to copy into the one I created.

I'm up for any solutions. Thanks in advance!

I don't see why you couldn't create a rule to do this.

Tools > Rules... > New Rule

Off the top of my head it would read something like:

If
Folder is (name of source folder)
Then
Copy to (name of destination folder)

You can also change the first part of the rule to a variety of different types of criteria that might suit your needs better than simply copying an entire folder.

Let me know if you need more help, and I can probably physically set the rule up in my Entourage...

Agreed about the rule, however, I am collecting targeted emails from a clients computer. So, sadly, there is a huge human factor in play that precludes logical rules that actually work! LOL! :D

I am not using entourage at the mo, I have it at work. But what happens when you press the alt key while moving - that usually makes a copy

What happens you ask? My Newbness takes on an almost radioactive glow, making me get up and run, head first mind you, into a wall, THEN, repeat, until such time I pass out.

Thanks!
