Hey guys,

I used bootcamp a little while back to run the evaluation copy of windows 7. I eventually used the bootcamp assistant to delete the partition. There is a lingering problem though. Every time I restart, I still have to hold the option key to boot up into osx. I tried creating a partition again and deleting it to see if that would get rid of whatever setting it doing that, but it didn't help.

I tried search through these forums, the web, and the instructions, but all to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Jacob

System Preferences - Startup Disk - Select your Mac OS X disk and click on restart.

I had this problem as well. I went into system pref and selected the "Startup Disk" option. I then select the OSX partition and rebooted. I have had no problems since.

Thanks guys! Now that I hear the solution I feel a little foolish, but at least I'm a noob with a properly functioning computer :D

It's easy to spend an hour or more looking for something right under your nose when you're not sure what it is you're looking for.
