I've had Aperture for a few years now, and I'm a big fan. I had a failed hard drive on my (fairly new) MBP. I got it repaired at the Apple store, and when I reinstalled Aperture and restored, I had all the previews and metadata for my pictures, but as the images were referenced, I had no masters. I tried to restore the masters, to no avail, despite the presence of the original images on the hard drive.
Just today, I tried to import some pictures that I'd been holding for a while. I put the card and started the import. It went fine for about 3/4 of it, and then froze completely. I've looked around, and it appears other people have had the same problem. I tried the fixes suggested (deleting the .plist file and rebuilding the library).
Is there anything I'm missing or something else to try?
