I'm trying to help a guy out with his media library. He's setup with iTunes on both of his WinXP computers. The problem is that on his main computer, iTunes doesn't seem to properly import all of his music. He has something like 19,000 songs, but only 7,000 appear in iTunes. The music is a mix of MP3, M4A,and WMA. iTunes is converting the WMA files to AAC, but I see no change in the song count.

Am I missing something here?

The system is hanging a bit doing this, and I'm half tempted to back up all his data and give him a fresh install of Windows, but I'm rather hoping to avoid that.

Any ideas for the iTunes problem?
