I've got an intel mac running mac OS 10.5 and I would like to move up to Snow Leopard. Thing is I do not have any install discs for the current OS and I'm unsure of what will happen to all my current info if I install the new OS with out them.

Also, has anyone had any drama's using boot camp to partition the hard drive and run windows XP on it.

Thanks in advance.

On the 1st part of your question, if you upgrade to SL as long as you have backed up to a Ext HD, you slip the SL disk in and by default it will do a Archive and Install.......
You won't need the system original Grey Install disk's
Which means when the install is finished your system will be the same as it was before you did the install, apart from having upgraded to SL and you will most probably get 6GB back on your system.
Its as easy as that mate, but MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP. Nothing is fail safe including Mac's.
I havnt done it myself but from what i have read, XP partitioned should be fine.

Cheers
