I tried installing xp on my mac, and have ran into a problem. when the mac rebooted to install it, it said there was an error 7, and to hit a key to exit. the keyboard was unresponsive. the cd is in the drive, and i can't remove it, and turning it off and on just goes back to the installation. Could someone tell me how to fix this. i dont even care about xp right now

Reboot the machine while holding down the "Option" key. Select your MacIntosh HD to boot from. While back in OS X, eject the CD.

Error 7 is some kind of hardware error. It may be that your copy of XP is incompatible and can not be installed with Boot Camp. Make sure you read the Boot Camp instructions before proceeding again.

Regards.
