Backup XBox games

Is it possible to back up XBox games? I have tried some but have turned up with no luck. My discs get banged up pretty easily, and I have an old xbox that wont read it if it has the slightest imperfection. I don't want to do mod it so it can read the backups, I just want it to be able to read my backup games in case one of them gets damaged.

Thanks

I think this question would be best asked on XBox scene or Atari Age, depending on your gaming preference. However from what I understand, you should be able to copy your games to DVD and then play them on a modded XBox. There are mods out there with an "ON/OFF" switch thus allowing you to still sign onto XBL (in the "OFF" position that is.).
Good luck and remember not only is piracy wrong, it's also a crime! ;)

Yea, I really don't want to mod my XBox with, even if it does have an on/off button, as you are always running the risk of it getting onto XBL and getting kicked. I was wondering if there was a way to create backups without any modding involved.

Unfortunately I don't beleive that's possible. My XBox wont play some of my DVDs (from the UK, still region 1 mind you) or CDs I've purchased from ITMS and burned to disk.
