clicking noise from fan

Hi,

I have a 13.3 inch aluminium macbook and everything has been going well until a few days ago..

On the left side of the mac basically where the S and D are on the keyboard.. am getting a clicking sound that sounds like a cricket.. Am guessing it's the fan but something has gone wrong..

Any thoughts?

The clicking cricket sound could either be coming from the fan or possibly your hard drive. First thing to do is make sure you have a backup of your entire hard drive. If your machine is still under warranty or Apple care, make an appointment with Apple to have them look at it. If it's the fan, they'll replace it. The same applies to the hard drive but as I stated above, make sure you have a good backup.
