Right i need a clone or alternative to this so i can chop mp3's with out converting to .wav first

anyone got any recommendations?

got garageband and logic express but i cant find out how to do it in either if you can

help!

quicktime pro or amadeus II. 29.99$ and 14$ respectively. amadeus rocks when it coms to music edit.

I think quicktime pro is the easiest way, and you can export or save as a lot of formats.

hmmm almost sold on that fact alone thanks macman ill have a look at that because amadeus looks a little simple so the extra $$ might be worth it

well quicktime pro is a must have for anyone who like tinkering in videos, its far from "lots of formats" when it comes to audio. there is only aiff, wave and AU. there are more options for movie audio, but again those are next to useless when it comes to music files.
and inflexion, amadeus may seem simple, but its very powerfull audio edit. you have 9 different file options, plus 30+ effects plug-ins. if you're interested in particularly cutting audio in pieces, quicktime is far from precision. i love QT, but would never do any audio in it. then again if only need to chop audio in pieces, QT will do just fine.
