Apple has finally released Java 1.5 (J2SE 5.0) for Tiger. Great news for Java developers (and users.)
J2SE 5 has been available for Windows, Linux, and Solaris for several months now. Apple, not Sun, produces the JVM and JDK for Mac OS X, and frequently takes its sweet time. (As compensation, MRJ has access to some unique OS X features, including the Aqua UI.)
