3D Programes

I am a graphic designer and i am wondering what 3D program that is excellent and suitable for mac?

I create maps for customized multiplayer on warcraft 3: the frozen throne.

I use there online forums a lot to get help when I run into scripting errors and such.

Everyone on that forum uses GIMP to create new models that are not already in the game.

I myself dunno how to make 3d images with it but its what those people use and I know that it runs on Windows, Mac os x, and Linux.

Oh yeah and its completely free GIMP - for Mac OS X

Blender, as recommended by dbnoise is a perfect solution to what you are looking for I think. It has a bit of a learning curve, but if this is the business that you are involved in then you should know more about it than a 16 year old kid.

If you're willing to spend $$$ then maybe look at Electric Image
