LimeWire or Acquisition?

Is one better than the other?

I like Limewire, yet I don't know why.

I like LimeWire too, but for some reason if I leave it on over night and has a continuous stream of steady downloads, it will run very sluggish like there's a memory leak. This doesn't happen if I leave the computer on all night with LimeWire closed (and it's not asleep), I sit down and it's responsive as ever. Odd.

I like Limewire but it clearly hasn't been designed properly for OS X, it's a very sluggish program which is a shame really.

limewire on mac is very much like the limewire on my pc. never had any problems with it. never tried acquistion though

Acquisition is the Limewire core with a OS X interface. I use that over that ugly Limwire UI.

I've used both limewire and aquisition - then i found xfactor which I found better than both of them :headphone it connects to 4 networks (ares, gnutella, openft and fasttrack) which gives you a larger search base. But if i had to choose out of limewire and aquisition - aquisition is better

But......

Limewire is free!!!

IMO, neither is worth the space they take on the HD, I prefer bit torrent.

i prefer bit torrent as well.. but the torrent sites are being shutdown so fast.... I used limwire for a bit.. it was very sluggish then I tired acquistion.. I am still using acquisition when bittorrent wont help me out....

the ones I use are still up, torrentreactor for example, was shutdown, but is now back up.

Bit Torrent isn't as easy to use as Acquisition, there are more steps involved. Although some things are easy to get with Bit Torrent, overall it's not as simple.
