Looking for Adobe After Effects equivalent.

Im in need of some software so i can produce a piece of art such as this.

I need it to be free and just get the same idea done.
It doesnt need to be some top of the line product just something with a kind of simple interface and easy to learn.

You'll be hard pressed to find any application capable of those results for free.

Hmm well how do the trial versions from adobe work?
Ive heard that they dont all work properly.

They work fine. Unlimited use for 30 days. You can download a 30 day trial through the Adobe website.
