Get a screen recording into imovie?

Hey guys. I just got a 13" macbook pro last week, and it has imovie 09. This is my first mac ever so its all new to me, anyways I make some how to: videos and was wondering how do you get a screen recorded video used with quicktime into imovie. I want to edit it and add it to my movie tutorial that I am making.

Go to the Event library and import your movie.

What kind of how to videos? Can we learn something I am also up for learning. Also I will receive my first mac ever next week.
