Dumb question - Apple Keyboard

Can I use an apple wireless keyboard on a KVM switch and will that keyboard work for my PC? Or should I just keep my old wireless keyboard attached to my pc and get the apple wireless for my laptop?

Thanks!

The Apple wireless keyboard uses Bluetooth. It has to be "paired" with a single machine. (Pairing involves exchanging a "key" to create a secure connection between the computer and device.)

If your PC has Bluetooth, you could theoretically use the Apple keyboard, but you'd have to "re-pair" it every time you switched computers. You couldn't use a KVM to do that, and it would almost certainly be more frustrating than it'd be worth.
