well i hooked up HPw2408 monitor to my MacBook Pro. well it looks like ****, i cant get the picture to look as good as it looks on the laptop. any ideas?

it seems like its too dark, and too much color, and no matter what i do or adjust it just looks like crap.

is there a configuration program? did anyone had the same problem?

also i'm using VGA cable. would DVI make a difference?

Did you use the monitor controls or Network Prefs to adjust the settings? Calibration is probably best done from NW Prefs.

VGA or DVI? Since the monitor is digital, that suggests using a DVI cable.
