Hello everyone. Just purchased a my first laptop a used Macbook. Upgraded memory and HD. So far so good.

Here is the situation. I needed to install windows and did that myself. I am not very computer savvy so that was a big step for myself. I used boot camp, partitioned the drive, installed Windows and read about how to install Macbook drivers in Windows. If I read correctly and recall correctly, it was boot into Windows, insert Mac OS disk and install drivers. Am I right so far? Well here is where I get stuck... in Windows I can not see the Mac OS disk. It like its not even there. Any tips or trick to get windows to read the Mac OS disk? I would imagine its a driver issue.

Thanks for the help.

Where did the OSX Discs come from that you are using? With the Macbook? What version of OSX is installed on your Mac?

Is the OSX DVD Black or Gray?

The version of Windows that was installed was XP Home w/ SP3. I dont know if that would make a difference or not.

Yes, it does make a difference. Go to the Apple web site and download the Boot Camp 2.1 update for Windows XP. Make sure it's the update for XP and not Vista. Run the update file from within Windows as it's an *.exe file. That should install drivers.

Regards.

What disc? You need to run the file you downloaded.
