Hello,

I have heard that the HP Printers are not working with the new mac update. I am going to buy a printer with my macbook pro because it is free after rebate. It is a little annoying that the free printer happens to be a HP (haha figures). No wonder it is free! Well let me know what you think or have heard.

Way... way too many specs to list.
don't know, I stopped using HP stuff because, on the whole, their mac support is horrible.

It is pretty terrible. My c4580 seems to be running without any problems. You might want to check your updates, A day or so after I installed SL there was a HP printer driver update released.

It's only certain HP printers. Mine still works, the only thing that doesn't is the scan feature. Which I don't really need anyways.

There was an initial problem with some HP printers - there was not with mine. Apple/HP got this fixed for most printers and an HP update was released in less than 2 weeks after SL was released.

I doubt any of the problems were related to the current models. A lot of us are using 3, 5 and 7+ yr old printers. An upgrade to a new OS, whether Windows or OS X, it is to be expected that support for some older models will disappear. Can't expect printer manufacturers to support printers forever. No money there.

My F340 stopped working but an upgrade (about a week later) fixed it all just fine. Apparently the problem was HP did not do it right the first time for some of the older printers.

My C4180 didn't work after upgrading to SL but after installing the HP Printer Driver update it worked fine. I haven't tested the scanner yet though.
