Each member can post one desktop in this thread each month.
The desktop cannot be larger than 800x600.
Not only will posting inappropriate desktop pictures get them deleted, it will also get you banned. This includes anything semi-lewd. This is a family forum if it's not PG then don't post it.
Feel free to post the source from which you got your wallpapers, themes, icons, UI modifier apps, etc.

By the way, how do you embed a picture into a post? Like when I attach something it shows up as a thumbnail, then you click it to see it at full size.

I use SKITCH (http://skitch.com/) Takes a snap shot of desktop and u can upload it straight to the post

Anybody have some ideas for what else I should do? I still need skins for some stuff (finder, latest iTunes, etc.). Preferably in a black/gray/white color scheme.

Not exactly. I start that way and periodically take my desktop back to what you see there. It gets rid of things I don't use much.

Next month I'm going to get real frisky and change the slate gray to pool-table green.

So you use the finder for opening all the applications you use on a daily basis?
I've lately had very good luck with using Spotlight to open an app. I type in the first couple of letters in the app, hit return and there it is. I don't see how it can get any more efficient, assuming you know the name of the app.
