hi all, im trying to access my work network via the net. unfortunately 'they' say i have to run internet explorer (6 or later) to have access. Is there any easy way of doing this on OSX? I've been down the Darwine path but the internet explorer on that just kept crashing every few seconds. I'm trying to avoid installing windows on my mac just to run IE!!!

any advice appreciated

thanks

Ugh. Not as far as I know, Microsoft stopped supporting IE for OSX ages ago.
Have you tried to access it in Opera or Firefox?

You could of course use Parallels or Fusion to virtualise xp or vista and thus use internet explorer on a mac, although that might cost some more money than you are willing to spend.

You may want to consider VirtualBox, a free, open source VM environment from Sun:

I have never setup and run Windows via VB, however, if all you need to do is run IE for some light task it would save you the cost of Parallels/VMWare and should be sufficient.

If their website has some strange ActiveX control or something else that requires IE6+, you won't get much in the way of answers that don't involve installing Windows, either via Boot Camp or virtualization.
