In the coming days ahead I will be getting a new MacBook Pro to replace the one I currently own and I just wanted to know how migration with Time Machine works. I've been backing up my harddrive with TM since January and it's advertised as being useful as the "migration assistant" but is it reliable? Should I take any other precautions before making the switch (like copy data anywhere else) or is Time Machine generally reliable?
