My MBP 2.4 running 10.5.7 will not connect to a unsecure wireless B network. I am on vacation and have borrowed my friends Windows machine. I am using the network right now on XP with a built in wireless G card.
The MBP sees the network. It also sees 3-4 others (password protected). The signal is fine. I can walk up the DSL modem/router combo and plug directly into it and it works fine. The MBP tries to connect to it, but just spins the thinking curser and never connects. I have tried re-starting both the router and MBP. The AirPort card was working fine at home on a secured wireless G network.
What should I do? I have never had this happen and I've put this computer on many networks. Can the N card not connect to an old-skool B network?
