modem recommendation for airport extreme

hey gang
my first post as I am a new mac guy and loving it!

I want to get rid of my "rented" comcast modem and buy my own in order to use it with my new airport extreme

I realize that if I buy a router/modem combo and connect the airport to it, that I can use bridge mode on the airport extreme making it the primary wireless router and rendering the router/modem just a modem

does anyone have any suggestions for a good/reasonable modem (or modem/router) I can buy to accomplish this?

I prefer something simple and easy to set up
