I have been using an Epson stylus photo 1290 on my Imac with no problems
until now that is .

At the moment the printer does not react to any print command ,When using Photoshop cs4 , it gives an error message , Bad%%Boundingbox: comment seen! .Whatever that means .

When using Word , the printer does nothing, no error messages at all . If I use Windows xp running under VMware Fusion it prints fine .

I would appreciate help from anyone who may have any idea what the problem might be .
Cheers ,

Barry

Try clearing the print queue first: System Preferences, Printers and Fax, Open Print Queue. Make sure all prints jobs were completed. If not, delete them.
While you're there, check the printer status. Make sure it says "Printer Ready".

Also try turning off the printer for 30 seconds or so and turning it on again. My HP LaserJet occasionally gives me strange errors and refuses to print but I can usually get it going again by doing all or some of the above.

I just wish printer manufacturers would spend as much effort on providing the same good printer drivers for Mac OS X as they do for Windows. I almost never have a problem with any type of printer in Windows. They just all seem to work.

Regards.

Printer Problem

I have tried as was suggested i.e. removed the printer from the printer list , then uninstalled the driver . I then downloaded a new driver from Epson .

Now when I attempt to print either a test page or a word document it shows up as document completed when in fact nothing has happened . As mentioned previously the printer is working fine in Windows . I would be glad for any further suggestions

Regards

Barry .
