Hi

we have just bought LG W2343t screens for our macbooks.

We are pluggin it in via DVI to mini port and all looks ok but the text on the screen still seems a bit blurry.

Anyone else had probs like this with other screens??

Is it just the setup??

Thanks

A blurry screen is indicative of not setting the correct native resolution of the external monitor. Find out what the native resolution of the monitor is and set your MacBook display resolution accordingly.

Regards.

hey,

the native resolution of the screen is set as per the manufacturers specs.

The 2 setups are as follows -
13inch Macbook setup as "mirrored" res setup for native of the 23 inch lcd 1920 x 1080. The screen looks fine (text a little blurry) yet the mac has put black strips vertically both sides of about 2 cm wide.

13inch Macbook setup for standard resolution and you run the mouse vertically to get to additional screen. The additional screen is set to its native res and frequency and has even blurrier text than the mirrored setup.
