Wireless Troubleshot

OK I have internet when the modem is connected directly the Mac Book.


When i connect the modem to my wireless router WIH ssid enabled, it shows me I am connected to the router full signal but there is now internet being sent over the signal. I have reset the router and the modem both.


idas?

Bit hard to understand without more specifics. u say that when MacBook is connected by ethernet cable to modem/router/wireless device you can get on line. but with airport signal strength indicator showing in Menubar you cannot get online wirelessly. Going into router admin page what is password encryption set to, is access control enabled and finally what Brand/Model unit are you using.
