Hey - I got nowhere to go. Got to rid my brain of 40 years of Bill Gates and enjoy this MAC. Whoever pointed out that my Excel SS's should work fine - I appreciate more than I can say. They are working just as they did over on the Dell. Formatting a tad different - but that's fine. Now obviously my IWork will most likely prove to be another of my many ways to get rid of money.

WELL sports fans - I got another one. AND I have already spent the money - but I don't yet have the product - MoveToMac I believe is its name. At this point the only major things to move are my itunes library and my 800 or so pictures. Then it hit me - could I not move my library OFF my Nano into my music library? Everything in my library is on the Nano.

That leaves pictures which I could burn or move with a USB Memory stick. The problem I think I may have with pics is that I have everything organized into "folders" - all sitting under Pictures.

That is the one area I doubt I will ever get used to - the file structure of DOS vs OS X. We used to refer to root and directories - then came folders. But they still followed the DOS structure.

Thanks as always. Bob

WEll, as for your pictures, you could just copy them over and use Google's Picassa instead of iPhoto, that way your foder structure will be kept

The Windows version is real good. Mac version still has a way to go but it's getting there. I prefer it instead of iPhoto.

Regards.

I am not that in love with iPhoto - is Picassa good?
Sucks back the resources likes there's no tomorrow. I have never heard my fans kick in so quickly for such a small app that shouldn't be as resource intensive as it is. Now, mind you, it is a beta still.

To the OP, could you not use an external HD to move all your stuff over to your Mac? You pay for the drive but then at least you have an external to use afterwords for such things as backups.

And, if you want to get rid of money, why not send your pal vansmith a little his way? I hear he's a pretty good guy.
