help on windows Q

my brother has just purchased a new macbook, and he wants to run a windows sofware program on it. its a building schedule program. the Q is can he just put the disc in ? or does he need to install windows of some sort. can he install windows ? as ive read that boot camp is already on these macs. advice would be great cheers
