Howdy Folks,

I'm about to make some tutorials featuring Apple mail which will require screenshots. I'm for a free, hopefully light weight program that will allow me to crop and resize said screenshots. Normally I use the GIMP but it's implementation under OS X is horrid.

I'm skipping out on iPhoto only because it's annoying to have to add all my photos to it's 'library' just to get do minor work.

Thanks,
Dan

You could use ImageMagick. You're going to have to be comfortable using the Terminal if you want to use it though.

Here is how to resize an image using ImageMagick.

What's wrong with Preview? It will crop and batch resize fast and easy.

Why not crop on screen - command shift 4 - with Sharpshooter or similar you can rename at same time.

Thanks Guys, I didn't realize preview did cropping and resizing, I thought it only previewed things. :D The cmd + shift 4 command sounds interesting too. :)
