"Disc Error" on black screen

IMAC G5 Intel Core 2 Duo 2.26GHz 3GB RAM, Macbook 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1GB RAM
When running XP through bootcamp, it will run through the blue screen setup but when it reboots goes to boot from the disc and says disc error on a black screen, when asking to hit any key to continue, it wont allow me, help? need XP on my intel imac. Thanks Scott

Boot Camp has very specific requirements in terms of the type of disc you need.

For Windows XP, the disc must be a *RETAIL* or "OEM for System Builders" version with SP2 or better integrated. You may not use a Windows disc that came with another computer for both technical and legal reasons.

The problem you're describing makes it sound very much like you're using an XP disc without SP2. If the disc you're using meets the criteria described above, you can use this guide to slipstream SP2.
