Hi,

We're looking at getting set up to convert our inventory of 2D paper drawings to an electronic format so that we can print them on a 42" wide format printer. This is a whole new field of work for us so we are looking for advice from some experienced users who produce wide format drawings.

I've been looking at a few digitizer tablets and the bigger 24x36 inch tables, from Wacom, GTCO CalComp and Numonics. The easiest method would be to simply scan the designs then output to file. However someone of our independent designers submit drawings, so by using a digitizer table, we could simply trace over the drawings to produce an e-file like DXF.

I'm open to any and all comments to help achieve the goal whether we are on the right track or not. Thanks in advance.
