Hi.
I've just purchased an OEM System Builder version of Windows XP! It does not work though.
I Follow the boot camp instructions to partition my hard disc. When I put in the Win XP CD and starts installing the computer restarts and ejects the cd. The screen goes black an states "No bootable device -- insert boot disc and press any key" and the key-board locks.

I can't figure out whats wrong. Have any one experienced the same problem or can any one please help???

Regards
Jesper

Is it an OEM System Builder's XP SP2 version? It sounds like it may not be and that's why it's not working. You could also have a defective CD.

Regards.

Hi Yesprmo,

When you start the XP installation process, you should take care about the BIOS settings. You have to confirm that you changed the Boot Device priority One to CD Drive and Two for HDD.if the problem remains contact software vendor and ask him to replace the CD.
