Macbook White - 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo - 4GB RAM - 120GB HDD - GeForce 9400M - OS X 10.5.7
I have just installed XP on my white macbook, the spec is 2Ghz C2D - 4GB RAM - GF 9400m

its recognising the 9400m fine, but from what I can see its not recognising my RAM fully, its only showing 2.7GB
and it shows the C2D at 2Ghz, but underneath it only shows 1.59Ghz

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Don't know about the cpu, but 32bit win xp only recognizes about 3gbs of RAM; it reports that my new imac only has 2,93gb while it actually has 4gb. But the cpu at 1,59 surely is a curious case ...

Its a limitation related to 32 bit windows

32 Bit windows can address 4 gig of ram, but the OS maps nearly 1 gig for Memory Mapped I/O (MMIO) plus whatever memory allocation your video card needs is also mapped into that 4 gig limit, easily taking down the available memory to below 3 gig

Read this article for a detailed explanation (thank Apple for moving us swiftly over to 64 bit)
